01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
About this place
Announcing itself with the sweet, roasty aroma drifting onto the street, Mamekōbō catches the eye with rows of green beans and fresh roasts on display. The dedicated micro-roastery pours specialty cups to take away or to sip right at its compact indoor counter.
From Neighborhood Blends to Rare Single Origins
Open the coffee list, and approachable house signatures appear first, named after local corners like the Jimbocho Blend, Kanda Blend, and Mamekōbō Blend. Single-origin offerings cover considerable ground: Ethiopia Zinabu Geisha, Mocha Yirgacheffe, Papua New Guinea Sigri Estate, and Costa Rica Candelilla showcase the contrasting profiles of their regions. Beyond hand-poured single cups brewed with care, a daily hot drip coffee is kept ready for everyday commuters, giving regulars plenty of roast levels and profiles to rotate through.
Flavorful Au Laits and Seasonal Drinks
Creative coffee concoctions sit comfortably alongside straight brews. The Ginger Au Lait blends cafe au lait with fresh ginger notes and spiced chai warmth, while sweetened takes like Honey Au Lait and Kuromitsu Au Lait offer creamy comfort. Seasonal drinks expand the list throughout the year, from organic cold brew and sparkling coffee-cherry soda in summer to winter warmers like Irish coffee.
Opening at 7:30 on weekdays, the stand slots neatly into morning work commutes or quiet pauses between browsing Jimbocho's secondhand bookstores. App-based mobile payments including PayPay and Rakuten Pay are supported, making it an easy, friction-free drop-in whenever you need quality coffee.
